World Peace
We have vast military and political powers.
Rather than using our power to incite violence in places like Iran and North Korea,
rather than risking unnecessary bloodshed of our precious service members or loss of life of civilians,
rather than escalating the rhetoric into disaster...
how can we leverage peace and freedom?
How can we use our might to improve living conditions for our own people
and help spread democracy and human rights globally?
We should be organizing coalitions to effectively suppress international terrorist groups after they have been defeated so they cannot reemerge. This will take a peacekeeping force in place for ten years, like after WWII but shorter.
Instead, we are repeating some of the worst aspects of twentieth century history: powerful political leaders advocating and condoning violence against minorities.
